Scheduling Details

Listed below is important information about scheduling with Rocket Venues.

  • We accept bookings year-round; however, we strongly recommend that you send us an application before April.
  • When putting together the master schedule, we give first priority to companies booking for three weeks.
  • Rest assured that we will do our best to accommodate you with your first choice for spaces and times; however, due to the number of companies we work with we cannot guarentee your first choice.
  • If you book all three weeks, you can often hire any amount of time in 5-minute increments. If you book one or two weeks, you can book in 30-minute increments (usually a minimum of 1.5 hours).
  • The time you hire includes your get-in (i.e., loading in set, preparing props, sound and light checks) and get-out time (i.e., removing all traces of your performance, cleaning up any messes made, and setting the performance space, including lights, back to its original condition).
  • We strongly recommend that you give yourself and your company at least 10 minutes get-in time and 5 minutes get-out time, preferably more if you need it. If your show is technically complicated--for example, if you need to adjust lights, change gel colours, or you have a large set--you should book more time for getting in and getting out. If you run over your get-out time you will be fined, as delays push back the scheduled start times for all the productions that come after you and may affect their box office. Also, please note that your get-out time might in some instances slightly overlap with the get-in time of the next company.
  • As part of your rental fee we allot you in-space rehearsal time equivalent to the amount of time you have booked for one show's performance (including the get-in and get out-time). Additional rehearsal time can be booked for £30 an hour (£50 for the Roxy Main). Additional rehearsal time is limited, so it is made available on a first come first served basis.
